For homework #8, I decided to talk about the social website last.fm. I chose the website because I use it a lot.
Through this website, we can see charts of what artists we listen to and we are given recommendations on similar artists that we might enjoy as well. We also see other users on the website who have similar taste in music.
Last.fm gets its recommendations through non-experts; they are made by its users.
The site is arranged by small charts and lists of links in our own page which by clicking them we can see more details on whatever we want.
I think that the allmusic.com is a competing website. This website may be superior because it is run by "experts" and also features reviews on albums and songs.

For homework #4, I chose to find the path between Dell Computer and Amazon.com. The reason why I chose those 2 compagnies was because I use a Dell computer and I buy stuff off Amazon.com quite often.

Apparently, the 2 compagnies are connected through 2 directors who are both part of Viacom. Who knew.

So, I got a license for this blog at Creative Commons. It has 2 characterists. First, the Attribution: I wanted that the readers would attribute me if they use any of my ideas. Second, Share Alike: even if they change my ideas, I want them to use the same license for those new ideas.

I'm spending money like a millionaire right now, and that's not good.
I finally got myself a refurbished iPod 30GB for $180! That sweet deal was found on the Apple Store website. I cant wait for it to get here.
Speaking of waiting for things to come in the mail, I ordered my Placebo tickets 2 weeks ago and havent heard about them getting here yet. I checked the website where I ordered them and apparently they're going to arrive any time between now and 2 weeks before the show (Nov. 8). Well, that sucks for me. I have no patience for that kind of things.

Touristic Day

My sister and her husband decided to come to the US to visit the family and part of the East Coast. Yesterday and today were their days in Boston, so I decided to show them around town. Even though we did a LOT of walking, I'm glad that we had that day out together because it forced me to visit Boston's touristics spots. It's been a year now that I'm in Boston and somehow I managed not to see any of the monuments (or interesting sights) of the city.

Well, now it's done. And I was happy to hang out with my sis.
